THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO A COSY FESTIVE NIGHT IN

Hello hello helllooooo!! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day and loving December! IT IS OFFICIALLY A WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! (that is if you’re reading this on the day I upload it). I am soooooo excited!! Today, I’m going to be sharing my ultimate guide to a cosy night in: CHRISTMAS EDITION. I really enjoyed this night and it made me feel extremely festive!! I recommend every single one of you to do this, with a partner, friends, family or even on your own! I personally did this with my boyfriend and even he enjoyed it(mainly due to the food I think). Anyway let’s get started!

A COSY, CALM ATMOSPHERE

This includes blankets, cushions, fairy lights, candles, lanterns and whatever cosy things you can find! If you’re having this cosy night in, in your living room then put the fire on if you have one and all of the Christmas lights on the tree and wherever else you have them. We actually had this cosy night in my bedroom because I have lots of cute lights and cushions, and I thought it would be cuter in my bedroom instead of downstairs, having to  trudging everything down.

TREATS

Now this is an easy one, of course you need treats! Chocolate, sweets, cake, biscuits, crisps, and more and more. You cannot have a cosy night in without having treats too!! We had our tin of sweets we have in the cupboard (which my boyfriend is very cheekily stealing in the pic) , two bags of cheese and onion and salt and vinegar Tesco Finest crisps (THEY ARE THE MOST AMAZING CRISPS EVER), Rudolph cakes, and French frosty fancies. But of course you can choose your own treats! I also made a Smores hot chocolate for my boyfriend which was actually very successful!! You basically just need one bashed up digestive, about 4/5 marshmallows and a normal hot chocolate, which usually tells you how to make it on the packet. It is very self-explanatory in the images below; although on the bottom image you have to put the hot chocolate in the oven for about 15 minutes on 140 degrees. However, keep checking because mine took quite a while longer. The end result should basically look like melted marshmallows on top which I completely forgot to take a picture of because we both gobbled it up so quickly!!

CHRISTMAS MOVIES

Of course these are a must have to make it festive!! We enjoyed our treats in bed, cuddling up, whilst watching Home Alone, Elf, The Polar Express and Deck The Halls. These are our joint favourite Christmas films (after a lot of arguing).

COSY, COMFY CLOTHES

These are a definite must have! I simply just wore my night time shirt I got from Primark that I have been wearing for bed recently, that is sooo comfy!! My boyfriend wore a chilled t-shirt and shorts that he usually lazes around the house in. Just put your favourite, comfy, cosy clothes on, I suggest pjs or just anything you feel comfortable in! This is my pj shirt, that has ‘love’ on the pocket which I think is sooo cute:

I love you all very much and I’ll see you soon for another post.

REMEMBER ITS NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!!!
